We are announcing a call for entry for our second season on Communication Studios! These are peer-to-peer teaching sessions where local artists are able to share a skill with their community. These studios are hosted at our comfortable suite at Roundhouse Studios.

Previous studios have included Political Linocut Making, Sculpey, Collage Self Portrait, Riso Buttons, and our highly popular “Glaze your own bolo tie”

During our inaugural season Communication hosted 5 studios, including two sell-outs, with one still to come on January 31st! Cumulatively these studios have shared skills with 50+ people and brought in $1000+ for our hard working artist-educators, as well as $90+ in relief funds for Gaza.

These studios are perfect both for workshop-veterans and artists dipping their toes into teaching for the first time. Interested in learning more?

Submissions are open until January 30, 2026. We will review submissions the following week before reaching out regarding next steps. We will then reach out to artists to begin planning for the season. Any unselected submissions may be kept on file for future studios. Priority for submissions may be given to current and active Communication volunteers and community members.
