2026-03-18 Wednesday: Memory Vessels

$0.00

With host Ellie Braun (@email.brain).

Create your own MEMORY VESSEL to commemorate a loved one, past memories, or past versions of yourself. Jars adorned with ceramics, jewelry, glass, and other objects tell a story of a person or a time period. Memory vessels first originated from African and African American culture as a part of burial rituals.

Participants will be led through the process of mosaicing their jar and shown some examples of mosaics. Materials provided, though attendees are welcome to bring their own glass jar and/or personal items (shells, broken ceramics, beads, trinkets) to add to their mosaic!

Capacity for this workshop is limited. Reserve your spot today and pay sliding scale (20 / 30 / 40) at the door.
