This studio is an opportunity to get a taste for 2 printing processes: kitchen lithography and risograph printing. Learn kitchen lithography basics to produce a series of small prints. These prints will be used to produce larger quantities of postcard prints using the risograph printers on site.
Participants will create 4-6 kitchen lithograph black and white prints and 100-120 postcard sized prints on variable color cardstock weight paper and with choice of color ink including: red, green, teal, purple, aqua, fluorescent pink, or dark blue
Kitchen lithography is a method of printmaking using aluminum foil and cola to produce an inkable plate.
Risograph machines are digital/print duplicators with interchangeable ink drums that use soy/ rice based ink. Like combining a copy machine and screen printing together.
Capacity for this workshop is limited. Reserve your spot today and pay sliding scale ($20 / 30 / 40) at the door.
