This training is for folks with interest in printing their own work on Risograph printers. It is a requirement for print collective membership or for attending an Open Studio.
In this 3 hour training session, you will learn:
Brief history of Risograph printing
Machine parts and interface of the 2 types of Risograph printer models, MZ and RZ
Proper care of ink drums
How to operate the machines to be able to print analog (manual scanning in of physical copy – Printing digitally is covered in another Riso workshop)
Capacity for this workshop is limited to 10 spots to ensure adequate access to machines. Reserve your spot today and pay sliding scale ($40 - $150*) at the door.
The first 1.5 to 2 hours will be instruction, and the remaining time will be for participants to print a small 1-color project on 8.5”x11” paper, up to 25 prints. Please bring a physical copy with you to print.
Risograph Basics (shortened version) will be taught quarterly, so you’ll have more opportunities to attend if one date/ time doesn’t work for you.
Following this training, participants can sign up for print collective memberships, print during open studios, or enroll in the Digital File Prep for Risograph workshop.
